How to use Runkeeper Abroad

If you would like to use Runkeeper abroad and avoid roaming charges, follow the steps below:

iPhone:

• Go to phone Settings
• Select Cellular
• Toggle Cellular Data & Data Roaming 'off.'  Do not put the device in Airplane mode, as this disables GPS.
• Track your activity as normal, and then when you return to your country or access a WiFi network with your phone, you will be able to upload your activity.
• Select the activity, click on the upper right-hand "Options" button, then select "Resend to Runkeeper.com." 

For Android:

• Go to Settings, Wireless & Networks, More...
• Go to Mobile Networks, then unselect Data-Enabled and Data Roaming.
• Track your activity as normal, and then when you return to your country or access a WiFi network with your phone, you will be able to upload your activity.

Note: Do not log out or uninstall your app! Doing so will cause you to lose your activities that haven't synced with our servers!
