I've decided to try and cover the distance traveled in the Hobbit book before the release of the movie, I do a lot of running but I would also like the cycling I do while commuting to count toward this goal too.

It would be great if we could set multiple race goals! I'm doing both a 5K and a 10K on my way to my second half-marathon, and I'd like to count down to all three of those races. (:

As some others have said, it would be great to be able to have a new goal category that included time, ie 5km run in X minutes

When are goals for rowing and elliptical going to be added as i track these a lot.  Surely it can't be hard to add this to the application?

I have set a walking goal, but none of my walks have been allocated to it and is showing 0% completed. I have allocated the exercise to walking. Any idea why?

Why cant we use mountain biking in the goal activities??? Sure would be nice for you to add that.

Please add Crosscountry skiing to the goal activities. I will participate in the Worlds greatest skiirace (Vasaloppet in Sweden) in feb 2013.

All of you guys should switch to Endomondo - They don't have the "pace" goal yet but they do have alot of other types of goals, challenges and other nice features .. and they seem to care about there users request!

I'm done with runkeeper. I've been paying for there service but I see nothing new to give me value for my money..

I agree - Endomondo here I come.  I really liked Runkeeper but the complete lack of response here makes it clear they really aren't interested in improving their service based on input from their users.  Many of the requests on this thread can't possibly be difficult to implement, and if they are difficult then they could at least post a reply letting us know.

I set a running goal but it isn't tracking my runs.  Will goals pick up manually entered runs, since I run on a treadmill normally?

Just like Krystle I would like to set multiple race goals. I'm running a 10 km and a 15 km race as part of my training for a half marathon.

I would like to see the feature for a goal that is X distance in Y time. For example 5K distance in 26.30 minutes.

I would like to be able to set a time goal. I am using the Maffetone method (http://www.philmaffetone.com/whatisthemaffetonemethod.cfm) and I have to keep my heart rate in a certain range. I am training for a marathon. I want to set a 3h30 goal, for instance, but with no associated distance.

Todat I deleted my 30Km goal. I woul like to replace it for a 3h30 goal, then, after I achive this one, for a 4h goal.

what I'd really really think would add value to the app is the possibility to add combined goals, e.g. distance + pace, so for instance: to run 10K at an average pace of 5min/km. Do you expect to have it introduced?

Setting a MTB goal would be very nice! :)

A lot of users are cycling and mountain biking but you can't compare both activities so you just can't select cycling when riding a MTB.

Please add the option of creating goals for other sports. In the winter in AK xc skiing is my primary sport. Thanks!

With an elite subscription, can I set goals for time spent and calories burned?

I also like the idea of increased pace and RunKeeper being able to automatically calculate if I made that pace for a given part of a walk/run.

If you are changing goal setting, it might be neat for us to be able to select the types of exercise that count toward a goal. For example, someone could choose elliptical, hiking, and walking to all count towards their total distance goal.

Thank you for a great way to set and achieve exercise goals.

I wish you could set goals for all the options that we have in Runkeeper app. my goal for example is to do 42km skating, but I have to choose between only 4 options. why is that? why didnt you put the goals option with all the options you already have in the app. Other useful feature that I read is to make a distance in a certain time ex. 5km in 30 minutes. so please. add these features.

I'd like to echo others' wishes for time-based goals.  I'd like to focus on improving my time for running the mile and the 5K, and it would be cool to set goals to get faster and faster as the weeks pass by.  Thanks for your consideration!

    I want a time-only goal. Not a time-distance goal.

Another vote for being able to set goals for elliptical activity (for example). Quite happy with a generic distance goal that this would count towards.

Absolutely in agreement with the others regarding the time-based goals.  I want to set goals to improve my 5K time, and also things like the fastest 1K regardless of how long my entire workout is.

I also agree that it would be great to just be able to set goals for anything that the app tracks or calculates.

Why are goals restricted to running, biking, walking and swimming? I'm in a wheelchair and would like to be able to set goals with that. Seems a little discriminatory.

Really like the goal but I would like to set bigger goal, like yearly, and keeping my monthly goal for distance.

To all those people in this thread waiting for Runkeeper to produce time based goals, you might want to try what I did. Switch to Strava, which seems to have more of a focus on pace and performance, less so on cumulative miles, which seems to be Runkeeper's thing. It keeps a record of your fastest 1,5,10km etc runs.

I actually use ismoothrun (one of Runkeeper's approved import methods), and export to both Runkeeper and strava at the end of my runs.

Maybe one day, Runkeeper will have feature parity, then I won't have to do this.

Can you add a pace/time goal option?
