Date of first occurrence: June 19th, 2022, Uptick in issues seen for this bug week of Oct. 23rd, 2022.
Devices Affected: Apple Watch (Various Versions) + iPhone devices
Summary of Issue: User activities that are started from Apple Watch are not properly syncing to their phone. It ends up taking days for activities to sync, whereas the normal timeline is a couple of minutes.
Troubleshooting tips attempted: 1) Apple Watch Reinstall Tips, 2) Tracking a Dummy Activity, 3) Apple Watch Second Reinstall, 4) Ensuring users are using most updated version of App and RK Software.
Update: Some adjustments were made to improve the sync frequency of Apple Watch activities to the Runkeeper app. If you are experiencing this issue, please try updating your Runkeeper app to at least version 13.4. Additionally, if you are still experiencing issues, please try updating the IOS of your device to at least 15.6 if it is available for your device.
Update as of Friday October 28th: After release of 13.7 and an iOS update; there has been an uptick in users experiencing Apple Watch syncing errors.
Troubleshooting tips: Track a dummy activity to force activities to sync. If this doesn't work, please try reinstalling the Runkeeper App on your both your phone and watch. If you are still experiencing issues syncing, we suggest manually entering in the activity details onto your phone. Check out this article to learn how to do this.
**Activities do EVENTUALLY SYNC, but it takes days after an activity has been completed, which is far longer than usual.
