Custom Display on Smartwatches

We've heard quite a few suggestions for being able to customize the display of your smart watches like the Magellan Echo or the Pebble. This would allow you to see things like heart rate data directly on your watch! Let us know what you think of this feature and give it an 'up-vote' if you'd like to see it too!

The team decided that there are other areas we need to focus on in the core app experience before building out more in depth integrations with fitness trackers. At the moment we don’t have plans to support this feature, but there’s always potential to revisit this in the future. Keep voting if you’d like to see it added!

SMS Biosport HR ear buds + other now accepted HRM's > RunKeeper > Pebble active heart rate display. To eliminate RK users from using third party apps.

I just posted this on the Pebble Forum:

"This forum will not let me post links, since I am a newbie. If you want Runkeeper to add Heart Rate to Pebble please go vote here:

support.runkeeper.com/hc/communities/public/questions/201697299-Heart-Rate-Info-On-Pebble

Beside the avatar/pic. of "Jill" you can vote up or down.

Let your voices be heard!!!!
I was told by RK, the more votes, the quicker response/action.

Thanks"

Here's hoping for some votes!!

"quite a few suggestions" ? Talked with other users and they will not upgrade their 'runkeeper' untill the heart rate will show on their Pebble. Just like me.

Yes please! Do it! I own a Magellan Echo and the display data is really poor.
They say that the displayed data depends on the app.
Please make this change!
Thanks!

Yes please :-)
I've was using RK for 4 years...until I recently bought a Magellan Echo. I've since switched to a 3rd party app that lets me customize the display and button configuration. I've a few different displays configured appropriate for the different types of training I do, e.g. whether it's pace or HR focused, and can cycle through them at the press of a button.

+1 For heart rate display on my Pebble. I'm using a Wahoo TICKR Run band, which works great with the app.

Pebble Time has been backed. Hope to see this feature by the time I get it in May! I've used RunKeeper for years and this would be a top wanted feature to add things like HR information on the watch.

A lot of training plans are based on heart rate and pace. I need to be able to quickly have a look at my current heart rate and pace on my smartwatch.

I'd like the ability to change the background and the font sizes. I've got a Samsung Gear Live and it's nearly impossible to see anything even at full brightness. If I can have the time and distance displayed bigger it would help, and a simple black on white would also be helpful (the image on the Android Wear screen now doesn't work as well. And yes, custom fields would also be great.

Im currently trialling Edmondo in part because they let me customize what I see on the Pebble. Please add this.

This would be a fantastic update to RunKeeper. I use a Pebble and having my HR displayed would be great. There simply is not enough critical data in the current display.

I've been looking at the running watch market for the past few months. I like what the Echo and TIMEX RUN X50+ offer, an open platform that app makers can build to. However, that means that we're reliant on app makers to build out feature rich roadmaps for these devices, since the devices are just client terminals to those apps. I've been on the fence about buying the Echo because I cannot find a complete list of features from RK and don't know if you plan on investing in the Wahoo platform. If you do, great! Please let us know.

I'm receiving my pebble time in about 2 months. Would like very much to be able to see the heart rate on it by then. I also think this is the single most interesting data during a run.

Yes, I have an echo watch and I would really like to read the current HR on the watch and the clock time without disconnecting the watch from the Iphone. Could we have the possibility to change the display with one of the button ? Please...

Absolutely needed on any device communicating with your app. I am a Pebble user and would love the ability for HR feedback during training.

It absolutely necessary to be able to choose the measures on the display. I have an Android Wear watch and I would prefer to see current pace instead of average pace. Also, the numbers need to be bigger and bold. They are hard to read.

Smartphone + Smartwatch should offer more than a Garmin Forerunner 405 in terms of features, information, flexibility and user control. The 405 lets you pick up to 4 useful pieces of information to display (e.g. pace, total time, lap time, heart rate...) from a list of more than 20. Come on, RK, get with the program!
