Different Goal Types

We've had a lot of requests for different types of goals, and we'd love to hear what you're working toward! Do you want to set goals for more activity types, set a time-based or streak goal, or something else entirely? Let us know in the comments!

Goals is one feature where big improvements could be easily made.
I would like to see a Group class count added (like accumulative distance).
Also a pace goal, so we can work towards a level.
I also find the goals / training workouts more focused on Runners not walks. A training workout for walkers would also be a wonderful addition.

A cross activity goal (total miles running, walking, jogging as opposed to just one category) would be amazing!

A monthly cumulative distance goal would be nice, i.e.. I want to run 100km/month, instead of 1200km from January 1st, 2015 to January 1st, 2016, say.

Would love to have a goal-setting option for hiking. Right now, there are only 4 activities for which we can set a goal (distance, pace, calories etc). I hike about 80-90mi a month and it would be great if I have a target than to add up the distances for each hike in a month.

I agree with Darshan (though I couldn't upvote it for some reason). Please add the Hiking activity for the cumulative Goal. I would like to be able to set a cumulative distance goal for my hiking. Hopefully this would be an easy feature to implement since it would just need to behave exactly like the Walking goal, but for the Hiking activity.

I did a feature request nearly two years ago regarding the goal activities. At the moment I only can set up goals based on four activities. (Running, Cycling, Walking, Swimming) that's just not enough activities to choose from. When I do a free run training there are a ton of different activities. (Mountain Biking, Skating, Hiking, Wheelchair, Nordic Walking, etc.)
Therefore I totally agree with Darshan and Ron.

(Note - clicking the up arrow to vote didn't work - it took me to another page). I agree with Darshan, would love to have an option for hiking. And even better, would be a goal for both hiking and walking together. Some people might want an option of hiking, running and walking (after all, it's all on foot). Goal options are too limited. Love the app otherwise though!

I'd love to have a goal for Skiing. Seems so easy to add (since Skiing is officially trackable as-is)

Being able to set custom goals by crossing different values, choosing amongst values already available. For example, set a max duration, set a min distance, boom, you have a new goal, running 10k under an hour. Set a period, set a min number of activities, bam, your new goal is to run 3 times a week for the next month.
You get the point: modularity.

I would like to be able to have multiple race goals at the same time. Training for a marathon in January but have a 10 miler and half in between. Would be nice to see all of a them as goals on RK,

I set goals to improve my time for 5km and 10 km distances. Currently RK has no training plans to help me improve better than 55 minutes for 10km.

I'd like to be able to set a Run Streak goal. For example, I'm currently trying to run at least 1 mile (minimum) every day between Thanksgiving and the New Year. So, X miles per day for X days as a goal. That would be cool.

I would like to have goals by time with different activities ex 50 hrs of activities within x weeks or months and all activities would be recorded toward that goals.

Endurance Bad Ass challenge- 2016 miles in 2016 by walking, running, cycling and swimming. I have a group of friends that have this challenge and we need a way to track this amongst ourselves. What is the best way?

(1) Pace - distance goal (e.g. 5 km within 20 min)
(2) Elevation goal (e.g. 400 height meters)

Support for multiple (similar) goals: ie. 2 different running races or monthly distance and annual distance

I just singed up for GO.

The thing I'm missing from the personal goals is something like "5km in 25 min".

Or "Reach BMI of 𝑥" or "Bodyfat % of 𝑥". Weight goals have so little value if part of ones training routine is to build up muscle.

distance+time like 2 miles in under 14 minutes. The fact that this request is out there for 6 months and not implemented yet is a little disturbing. This is such a basic feature to add. Any serious runners are not just trying to complete races, but trying also to improve time. Maybe you are saying that serious runners need go get a different app, like strava?

Hi.
I love the Goal setting functionality. Now the winter has come here in Norway. We don't run as much, but go cross country skiing in winter. Thus two requests: 1) I want to be able to set goal for cross country skiing. 2) I want to be able to set a mixed activity goal. For example my goal for January is to run and/or ski a total of 80 km. Unfortunately I am not able to put this goal into the Runkeeper app. Hope you can fix this. Thanks!
