Device Integration Requests

We often receive feature requests to pair with different smartwatches, HRMs, speed/cadence sensors, and more. We do have fairly limited resources, so many of these can be tough for us to implement for a variety of reasons.

That being said, it's really important that we're aware of what you guys are looking for, as we always want to bring increased value to our community. Let us know what devices you'd like Runkeeper to pair with, and what exactly you want to see!

Hey everyone, we really appreciate you sharing your suggestions for new device integrations!

If you get the chance, it'd be great if you could upvote this request! We organize requests based on votes, so the more votes a request gets, the higher up the list it appears and the more views it will get.

I would love to have the ability to import activities directly from my Suunto Ambit 2S watch. Currently I have to upload from the watch to Suunto movescount (which is kind of lame), then download the gpx file from there, and upload it to RK. It would be great if your team could build an "Upload from Suunto Watch" feature.

I would like to connect Suunto Ambit3 to my runkeeper account.

I've used runkeeper for 2 and 1/2 years and now I bought a Ambit3, it would a pity to stop using runkeeper with all its feature.

Maybe a sync tool with Movescount would be usefull, to have the support for all the devices from Suunto.

I would like Stride Rate to be added to more Stopwatch activities such as Elliptical and Stairmaster.

Sadly, Runkeeper seems to have missed the boat on this one - Strava, for all of its failings, has good integration for Suunto (automatic) and Garmin.
I am buying a Suunto Ambit 3 Peak and will have to stop using Runkeeper. rubiTrack is better and also has the advantage of keeping data offline. Cost is similar to two years of Runkeeper for so much more.

I would like to connect runkeeper with my Sony Smartband talk swr30 to see my running data in the wrist. Besides the talk feature could speak kms, pace, etc directly in the smartband. I don't want to stop using runkeeper!

Polar products. They are great running products and have a ton of useful info but their app is lacking and so is their social aspect. I'd love for it to be integrated and I bet other Polar users especially with the M400 like me would love having them integrated.

I hope runkeeper would work on pairing with ant+ devices such as the garmin soft strap premium HRM, garmin footpod, and the garmin GSC-10 Bike Speed & Cadence sensor. I've been using runkeeper for android (paid version) for quite some time now, and it's integration with Smart Bluetooth HRMs was a great additional feature. But having it pair with ant+ devices, would definitely make it a top of the line if not best, fitness app available in the market.

I have a Soleus Vibe and I'd like to be able to upload activity to RunKeeper. I don't like using my phone app for races since I have to take time to put it away in my belt.

I would really appreciate integration with the Samsung Gear Fit or at least data syncing with the S Health app.

I'd love to see the Basis Peak integrated into RunKeeper. Currently, there's only support of iPhones, but not Android. Basis recently got integrated into Runtastic. I tested it out and it works perfectly. As of right now, my friends with Peaks and I are seriously switching to Runtastic because of this feature. It would be a shame because our history is on RunKeeper. Thanks!

Just here to echo Christian's comment on the integration of the Basis Peak watch with RunKeeper on Android. I've been a RunKeeper user for years now; with Basis now pairing with Runtastic (and offering a free pro account through it), it's a tempting offer to jump ship.

While we've found that you can force the Peak to work with Runkeeper (by force quitting the Basis app prior to a run), it's not exactly ideal. In addition, Runtastic has some great features (like dehydration tracking) based on data from the Peak.

I would like to throw in for the basis peak. I agree with the above comments that runtastic works well with it and gave peak owners a free upgrade to their pro version. It's very tempting to switch over because of the integration, the only thing that has stopped me is that runtastic doesn't support cycling

We would like to see Runkeeper app connects with our Suunto Ambit Sports, Run & Peak watches. Runkeeper has tonnes of great features and the same goes with Suunto Ambit family watches. Suunto has great Recovery features after every Moves done. Perhaps, Runkeeper can take full use of this with sync of Suunto Ambit watches. We vote for Runkeeper - Suunto Ambit watches compatibility & auto integration like Strava!

Please include the new Xiaomi Mi Band 1S (the one with Heart Rate Monitor) in Runkeeper. It's an affordable device that many of us would be able to get.

Though the Mi Band 1s in brand new, I'm pretty sure it will be quite popular due to the low cost.

Thanks!

I would like to have integration with Bluetooth sensors for biking speed/cadence specifically Duotrap S. I have to switch to using Strava to track biking rides with Duotrap S and then sync back to Runkeeper. Just overall, Runkeeper does not seem to offer great device integration even for Runkeeper Go users.

My Moto 360 recently died and I've moved on to Samsung's Gear S2, possibly the most beautiful smart watch out there. I've been a Runkeeper user since the OLD DAYS of 2010 (I actually paid for the original app!), but now I'm being forced to move to Nike+ because you don't support it yet. Please change this!!!!

Suunto has to be the second most popular GPS watches after Garmin.

Runkeeper HAS to support it or risk losing out to their competitor.
