Add a STOP Button on the IOS Lock Screen

It would be spectacular to stop an activity with the absolute minimum amount of poking and swiping on my iPhone. If RK had a lock screen widget with a STOP (and maybe a PAUSE?) button, then I could stop an activity by pressing Home (to light the display) then STOP.

Now? I have to press Home, swipe, key my PIN, and then (finally) press STOP. Mix in copious sweating on a hot day and any of those screen interactions can go awry pretty quickly.

The existing Today widget requires Home, swipe, press - and doesn't offer STOP at all. I still have to poke, swipe, and poke some more, to get to a STOP button.

iTunes, Amazon Music, and Pandora all take over the lock screen and offer app controls. Why not RK?!

Oh, and showing activity stats on the lock screen so that I can see them after pressing the Home button would be great, too.

Great feature request! I fumble around with my phone all the time trying to unlock it at the end of a long run... which also means I'm not paying attention to where I'm going. Although, it would probably need to have an enable/disable' function in the settings for users that would worry about stopping a run unintentionally early (which loops us back to the "merge activities" topic).

I also didn't understand why the process of completing the run wasn't quick and simple, without having to look at a screen or the other worry of inadvertently stopping a run early.

OMG, I so need this option. I don't use a GPS watch like every one of my running friends. :P I always use my iPhone with a chest HRM, and Runkeeper of course.

The new iPhones with fingerprint recognition, doesn't seem to do very well with sweaty fingers. So, when we stop quickly, I tap a few times trying to get it to work, which it doesn't. Then I have to type the 6 digits and usually mess it up. Long story short...it's super annoying! Having a "Pause/Resume" button on the lock screen, or a quick swipe like Apple Passbook.

A "pause" button would be great. I get asked for directions all the time, for some reason, when I am out running.

This is one of my biggest frustrations! I either have to hunt around or force the phone not to lock, draining my battery :(

And simplify the screens at the end.

now on iOS: press pause icon, press stop icon, confirm in a small pop-up, press "save".

after every run, 4 action just to end it :(

Please, make this happen!!!

Sweaty finger, battling with the phone in the arm rest..

RK is all about the stats, I'm all about the stats! I don't want to know how I did on 10.08 km (run + phone fight), I want to know how I did on 10.00 km run, that's it!!

Strong plus one! Choosing a metric to display on the lock screen would be a game changer too.

Often I want to work on my pacing but having to unlock my phone when I want consistent information on my pace is untenable, esp for targeted intervals (e.g. targeting 5x 1:00 sprints at 8:45, etc.)
