Audio cues on Apple Watch standalone mode

Is it normal that I can't hear my audio cues on my Apple Watch in standalone (without my iPhone) even if the watch is paired with headset?

This would be a great feature!! I just noticed the lack of audio cues from standalone apple watch as well :(

+1 to this. The Nike+ App (standalone) for the Apple Watch does this.

Also, there is absolutely NO feedback if you're doing a set workout... which is a bit of a pain if you have a sequence of tight intervals. The App either needs to tap & beep or give you some audio cue as to what's coming up next...

Hi,

Same for me... I need it for intervals.

I think, and I'm not the only one, that this is an important missing feature !
Is it planned soon?

Same here, running with intervals but without cues is hard (one tends to hit a lamp post while monitoring the watch :-))

... I also just miss listening to "Your Conscience" telling me after this run I can sit on my couch and drink a whole bottle of wine ... but seriously ... :P

+1 for audio cues, especially for workouts. This is one of my primary uses for RunKeeper, which are not available when I'm running without my phone.

Come on Runkeeper hop on this chat here and give us some good news that you're going to add this feature. Makes no sense to not have notifications when using just the watch. Isn't that the point of having the app on the watch. Look forward to this feature thanks for the app it's great

WE ABSOLUTELY NEED THIS!

This app/watch is just like any other (at double the price) without this feature!

MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

I wish that I can hear audio cues from the headset paired with my apple watch.  I wouldn't even mind if it's a series of taps from the apple watch.  It's hard to do intervals without it.

Please comment Runkeeper folks.  This is a must!!  It's why I purchased the watch and why I downloaded your app

Yes, this is definitely a missing feature. If Runkeeper continue do not respond on this request, once Runtastic comes out the standalone feature for Apple Watch, I will definitely move over...

I just got the Apple Watch series 2 specifically for use with run keeper and was suprised that I got no audio cues when I went running. Please add this feature.

I'm amazed that this is not a feature? I just bought a pair of very expensive BT ear buds so I could run "phone free" and after 2 runs and an hour of trying to figure out what *I* was doing wrong, I find out that this feature isn't supported??

Moronic omission to say the least.

Just paid up for a year so I can sign up for the training sessions and got some BT headphone, very disappointed that I can not hear the audio cues on the standalone watch app! this makes RK useless to me.

I just stopped using runkeeper (despite my annual subscription payment in September). I can understand and empathise with complexities in adding this feature, but the least RK could (and should) do is inform us about their intent...

Creating a forum like this with no input whatsoever from RK is like saying we value your input but don't respect you.

RK Potential: 8

RK Execution: 6

RK Customer relations: 2

average: 5.3 (=Fail)

Pity, they could have wiped NikeRC out...

I can't believe that RunKeeper has purposely ignored the people on this post since it's very clear that we need the Apple Watch version to have audio cues.  These posts are months if not years old and nobody from RK has responded to give any update.  I'll be returning my RunKeeper Go subscription since I need to use this app as a standalone.
